I’m a Miami-based bartender, copywriter, and creator. My love for the art of cocktail crafting and my passion for writing have led me to build, Behind the Bar Mat.

I began my restaurant career in 2005 as a hostess, and worked hard to quickly become a server. From there, I went to bartending school and making drinks has been a deep affection of mine ever since. In 2014, I used my bartending skills and ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment to start my own bartending service for private events.    

In 2020, when the pandemic hit, the restaurant where I bartended was shut down for months and social events were canceled for even longer. This unexpected turn of events prevented  any opportunities for my bartending service. So, I turned to my life-long love for writing to make a living. This is when I discovered copywriting. I immediately took courses on copywriting, as well as proofreading, and became certified. I’ve been obsessed with helping people grow their businesses by being a restaurant copywriter ever since!

At some point along the way, I began making bar tools and other items out of epoxy resin. Making these things  brought me so much peace and joy that a hobby eventually became so much more. It is like a part of me that I can share with you and your home.
